Floral inspiration from Kungsholmen: A botanical poster for Stockholm

For most people who know me, it's no secret that I love flowers. I like to spend the summer in my dahlia farm, where I pick, pinch and water my beloved plants. Being surrounded by flowers gives me both inspiration and peace of mind - gardening is my own form of therapy.

Before we moved to our house, we lived in an apartment on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. Having Fredhällsparken outside the door and the bathing cliffs just a short walk away was wonderful, and the city has a special place in my heart.

I have long been fascinated by posters with place names and connections to specific places, such as Dalarna and its dala horses. For my Stockholm-inspired posters, I wanted to create something that could both work in general and convey a sense of the city, while integrating flowers and color.

Therefore, the idea was born to create a series of botanical posters with flowers, fruits and plants, where I can then add place names, places and other things with a beautiful font and matching color. First in the series is "Stockholm Flowermarket" with a focus on Kungsholmen.
