Brush Lettering and Modern Calligraphy Workshop for Beginners near Stockholm

Learn to write beautifully by hand! Welcome to my calligraphy workshop in Österskär – a short train ride from central Stockholm. This is a foundation course for anyone who wants to learn modern calligraphy and brush lettering from scratch, with the tools and techniques you need to start writing beautifully and personally.

What is brush lettering? Brush lettering is a popular, modern form of calligraphy where you use a soft brush pen instead of a traditional dip pen. It creates lively, elegant letters with beautiful variation in line width – thin lines upwards and thick lines downwards.

During the workshop we will:

• Go through how to handle a brush calligraphy pen.
• Practise the alphabet and the basic letter shapes.
• Focus on rhythm and flow, the key to beautiful lettering.
• Enjoy a relaxing creative moment in a calm setting.
• All materials are included – brush pens, practice sheets, plus coffee, tea and fruit.

Location: The station building "Stomsi", Österskär Station.

Last workshop: Sunday 25 January 2026, 2:00–4:00 PM (2 hours).

Travel: Easy to reach with the Roslagsbanan line from Stockholm Ö to Österskär.
